Rainer Schaller, the owner of the Gold's Gym business, is reported to have died along with his spouse, children, and two other passengers after their private jet crashed in Costa Rica on Friday.

Local officials discovered the wreckage of the tragic plane in the water, 17 miles from Limon airport. Two corpses and their belongings were discovered.

"We retrieved several bits of the plane washed in by the tide, as well as two bodies," stated Public Security Minister Jorge Torres.

At before 6 p.m., the aircraft, a nine-seat Piaggio P180 Avanti, lost touch with the control tower in Barra de Parismina, near its intended destination.

Schaller is the founder and CEO of RSG Group, which owns Gold's Gym, McFit, and John Reed and employs 41,000 people in 48 countries.
