PRESIDENT BIDEN AND PUTIN MAY CAUSE NUCLEAR 'ARMAGEDDON.'Following Ukraine's setbacks 

President Biden issued a red alert to the country on Thursday, declaring that nuclear "Armageddon" is a genuine possibility in light of Russia's recent failures in its eight-month battle in Ukraine.

Biden described Russian Czar Vladimir Putin as "a person I know very well" during a Democratic event held by James Murdoch, adding that Putin was "not kidding when he talks about the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons."

"We have not faced the danger of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis," Biden continued. He also hinted that Putin's danger is palpable "because his military is, should we say, considerably underperforming."

The Cuban Missile Crisis was a 13-day conflict in 1962 that resulted from the Soviet Union's deployment of nuclear weapons in Cuba, causing the Kennedy administration to impose a naval blockade on the island.

As far as the public is aware, it was the closest the United States ever gone to nuclear war.

According to Biden, he is still "trying to figure out" Putin's "off-ramp" in Ukraine. "How does he find his way out?" Biden inquired. "How does he end himself in a position where he not only loses face but also tremendous authority within Russia?"

Despite Biden's ominous warning, US officials have not observed Russia shift its nuclear posture in preparation for an impending assault.

For the time being, this is a minor triumph.
