President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden arrived in Fort Myers, Florida, on Wednesday to see the destruction and damage caused by last week's storm.

The Bidens' visit to Fort Myers is intended to "reaffirm his commitment to assisting the people of Florida as they recover and rebuild from the tragic hurricane," according to the White House.

While Republican Rep. Byron Donalds, Lee County Chairman Cecil Pendergrass, Cape Coral Fire Department Chief Ryan Lamb, FEMA Official Harvey Muns, Fort Myers Beach Official Colleen Brooks, and four firemen were there at the airport when the President arrived, Governor Ron DeSantis was not.

Biden is scheduled to visit DeSantis and the local and federal officials that helped countless Floridians during and after the natural catastrophe after taking an aerial tour of the ravaged town.
