Friends mourn the passing of the iconic gospel singer Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson at the age of 50, calling him "very talented."
LEGENDARY At the age of 50, gospel singer Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson has passed suddenly.
Before the musician's devastated friends could confirm it, Black Gospel Radio broke the news of his demise.

The cause of death after his sudden passing on Friday has not yet been established.
Singer-songwriter Keith rapidly rose to fame in 1998 with the publication of his breakthrough gospel album Through the Storm.
At the young age of five, the father of two acquired the moniker "Wonderboy" due to his astounding singing prowess.
Before launching his solo career, he had begun performing alongside his father and uncles as a part of The Spiritual Voices.
A friend and fellow artist named Ted Winn wrote a heartfelt obituary for the 50-year-old on Instagram.
"I'm in shock & astonishment!" he wrote. Keith Wonderboy Johnson was a really gifted artist who was always happy.
"Please accept my sincere sympathies to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who loved him. #keithwonderboyjohnson."
Titus Showers, a gospel singer, referred to them as "a legend" and claimed that the world had lost him.
He stated: "During the epidemic, my brother and I enjoyed spending time together through Zoom, encouraging and ministering to one another.
"How fortunate we were to spend that time getting to know one another better.
"By losing #keithwonderboyjohnson, we lost a legend! I'm so happy that we were able to get to know one another and that I was able to give him his flowers before he passed away.
"The magnificent music of the legendary @keithwonderboyjohnson has entered heaven!
#IJustWannaBeRight: "Prayers for the family, the music business, and all of his fans."
Over the years, Keith put out 14 solo albums, 11 of which were listed on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.
On the Independent Albums and Heatseekers lists, his other works also appeared.
During his remarkable career, the 50-year-old also won six Stellar Awards and had nominations for two Dove Awards.
Elyse and Brianna, Keith's two children, are left behind.
