Josh Allen won the latest episode of the legendary Bills-Chiefs rivalry, and Patrick Mahomes sealed his team's destiny with a stunning interception.
Allen led an unbelievable drive that ended with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox with 1:04 left. That handed the Bills a 24-20 victory, but the game wasn't finished yet.
Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense still had a chance to drive down the field and score, and the Bills are well aware of Mahomes' ability to do it. Mahomes instead threw into coverage, and Taron Johnson made a leaping interception to secure the Bills' victory.
Allen finished 27 of 40 throws for 329 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, one sack, and 32 yards running. Stefon Diggs was his favorite receiver, with 10 receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown.
Mahomes was less effective, completing 25 of 40 passes for 338 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, three sacks, and 21 yards rushing. With five catches for 113 yards and a score, JuJu Smith-Schuster enjoyed his best game as a Chief.
The Bills have improved to 5-1 and are the clear favourites to win home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. The Chiefs drop to 4-2, and while they remain the favorite to win the AFC West, a rematch between the two teams will most likely take place in Buffalo.
