An NYPD cruiser heading to the scene of a carjacking Thursday afternoon collided into a Bronx street corner, injuring 10 people.

At about 3:15 p.m., the marked cruiser was attempting to pass a vehicle when it went the wrong way down Westchester Avenue.

Surveillance footage shows the police car colliding with the automobile before driving off the road and jumping a curb, landing on a crowd of people waiting for the bus.

The two officers inside the cruiser were hurt, but they were able to escape via the passenger side of the car and phone for aid.

According to authorities, eight more individuals were injured, with two in severe condition.

"The indicated car was parked near to the wall. People were present. When asked about the victims' names, NYPD Chief of Patrol Jeffrey Maddrey responded, "This will be revealed in the inquiry."

"Of course, you never want to see someone hurt...

Unfortunately, this event occurred, but we know they are receiving the finest medical treatment available at the time. "All we can do is pray for everyone, the policemen and their families."
