Who exactly is PnB Rock?
Rakim Hasheem Allen, also known as PnB Rock, is a 30-year-old rapper and performer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
PnB Rock was born and reared in the Philadelphia district of Germantown, and his stage name is an abbreviation for the street corner where he grew up, Pastorius and Baynton.
PnB Rock had several obstacles as a result of the harsh side of the neighborhood, one of which was the loss of many of his friends.
"There used to be five of us, but now there are four," PnB Rock told Complex in 2017.
PnB Rock spent his youth living in and out of shelters with his single mother and four siblings.

However, after Allen's uncle, who served as a father figure to him, was murdered when he was just 15 years old, he became involved in criminal activity.

When he was ultimately freed from prison, he joined the #TBH Instagram craze, in which one person sings in response to another person's post.
Allen began singing to participate in the trend, despite the fact that he had not recorded any music, and soon released his debut single, Weekend Baby.
Two mixtapes followed, but just as his music was getting traction, he was arrested for breaking his parole by leaving his halfway home without authorization.
His songs grew famous on social media around this period, and his music video My City Needs Something broadcast on MTV.
"People died, people were slain by cops," he said of his time in Philadelphia to The Fader.
"When I listen to the music, it makes me weep," he concluded.
Allen then signed with Atlantic Records, and his debut album GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions was released in 2017.
His most recent album, 2 Get You Thru The Rain, was released on December 8, 2021.
Other musicians on the six-track CD were Lil Baby, Young Thug, and DJ Luke Nasty.
PnB Rock, what happened?
PnB Rock is shown being shot in what seems to be a heist in a gruesome video released on social media.
The video's caption reads, "PnB Rock shot in an attempted robbery at Roscoe's Chicken."
"S*** insane robbery backfired in front of us."
Doc Louallen, a digital reporter, reported the story on Twitter, writing: "Philadelphia rapper PNB Rock was just shot in Los Angeles, California." The video on Twitter is too graphic to share.
"He's been sent to a neighboring hospital." Let us hope he survives."
At the time of the alleged shooting, Allen was allegedly with his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang.
"Officers responded to a report of a gunshot in the 100 block of Manchester Ave," the LAPD said, describing the victim as a Black guy.
"At this time, the victim is in uncertain condition."
