Some social media users are angry at First Lady Jill Biden for wearing a fascinator instead of a hat during Queen Elizabeth II's burial.
The first lady, 71, arrived to Westminster Abbey in London Monday with her husband, President Joe Biden, wearing a black Schiaparelli bespoke suit and fascinator – a piece of headgear that requires a clip, comb, or headband to keep in place.
According to Fascinators Direct, an online selection of hats and fascinators, fascinators are "frequently worn by women attending formal occasions such as weddings and celebrations."
Fascinators are frequently seen during happy occasions like as weddings. While they can be worn to solemn occasions such as funerals, it is more appropriate to wear a hat as a symbol of respect.

Twitter users were eager to criticize Biden up on his obvious fashion faux pas.
A "huge black bow in your hair" isn't acceptable at a funeral, according to Twitter user @woobs98765.
"Why would she do that?" @JoBaillie4 wondered.
@TruthsOverLiars tweeted, "That awful headband bow on her hair during a state burial." "This isn't proper tea."
"The skull piece made my designer pals gasp," @jijiipetti remarked. "It's incorrect all around, flippant bow for a solemn occasion."
"What is the significance of Jill Biden putting a party bow on her head?" @Airstrip 0ne inquired.
