'Very good.' After murdering a man and dismembering his body with the assistance of her daughter's boyfriend, an Ohio mother shocked the community.

Residents of a peaceful Middletown neighborhood were shocked to find that a "really kind" neighbor murdered her spouse and asked her daughter's boyfriend to help her slice up the body.

When 33-year-old John Havens went to police headquarters earlier this week and told detectives that he helped mutilate 55-year-old Jeffrey Fellman's body, he unearthed the horrible murder.

Havens said that his girlfriend's mother, Bonnie Marie Vaughn, shot the guy dead and then asked him to assist her in disposing of the body.

He went on to say that he dismembered the victim using a handsaw. Officers discovered the horrible scene, complete with mangled corpse, in a first-floor chamber. Vaughn was not at home when police came, but he was apprehended shortly thereafter.

"This is one of those startling events that happens on a very uncommon basis," Middletown Police Major Eric Crank said.

Vaughn was characterized as a "lovely" woman who was "a little bit odd" at times by a family neighbor.

"You know, she didn't always look to have it all together intellectually. But, you know, she was quite polite. Bonnie was always pleasant."
