Hilty added wonderful comments to the post, remembering the deceased's memory in the most genuine way, using an old photo of her sister and brother-in-law grinning at the camera. The photograph shows the pair posing with their heads together in front of a massive edifice. It also provided a photo of their kid, Remy.
"On Sunday afternoon, a little float plane crashed into Puget Sound off the shore of Whitley Island," the Broadway actress began her statement. On that plane were my loving sister Lauren, brother-in-law Ross, and infant nephew Remy." "To make this news even more upsetting, my sister was eight months pregnant, and we were hoping to welcome newborn boy Luca into the world next month," she continued.
The last several days after the tragedy have been the hardest of Hilty and her family's lives, with "truly no words that could appropriately communicate the magnitude of their pain." The 41-year-old stated she had no immediate intentions to publicly address the tragic family tragedy, but she did what was required in light of the disinformation propagated by various news sites.
She said that the media "mislabeled" her nephew, while others failed to mention her sister's newborn child, Luca. Hilty went on to say, "Lauren and Ross left behind my niece, whom we all love. She was thankfully not on the plane, and we request that her identity and personal information be kept hidden because she is a juvenile."
She stated that the information must be updated in order to "respectfully honor" all those who died and the loved ones they left behind. Finally, the "Wicked" actress expressed gratitude to everyone for "the enormous amount of love and support" that has meant so much to her and her family.
Simultaneously, she remarked how reassuring it is to know how much she adores her sister, brother-in-law, and nephews. Later, admirers, including celebrities from the entertainment business, expressed their sympathies in the comments section.
Morgan James shared her sympathies, saying the death was "absolutely awful," while Matthew Morrison followed suit, extending his sympathy to the grieving families and their loved ones. Many other verified social media users, including Frank DiLella, Celisse, Bill Horn, Jenna Leigh Green, Eden Espinosa, Stephani Block, Michael Hitchcock, and Chrishell Stause, offered their love and sympathies to Hilty.
Stause expressed "total grief" before lifting the Washington native and her family in prayer. She also conveyed "so much love" and expressed regret for the loss. There were no words to express how devastated the fans were, but they made it clear that they would always be there for Hilty and whatever she and her family required.
Following the plane crash, the 'Smash' star's family issues a heartfelt statement.
More information regarding the tragic collision was disclosed today. The de Havilland DHC-2 Otter seaplane was carrying 10 individuals, including nine passengers and pilot Jason Winter, according to the report. Hilty's three family members were registered as passengers on the plane; however, the corpses of the accident victims remain unidentified, despite an intense search for them.
The night of the disaster, one dead individual was discovered but could not be recognized, and the next day, the US Coast Guard reported the end of an active search for the other nine missing. Not shortly after the tragedy, the Hilty and Mickel families published a statement expressing their tremendous sadness and dismay at the death of their beloved family.
They characterized the deceased as "a brilliant and sparkling light in the lives of everybody who knew them," and their collective sadness was "unimaginable." They closed by stating that Lauren and her family's time with them was limited, but they committed to carry on Lauren's legacy.
