The Dynamic Island, a pill-shaped region that replaces the notch on prior versions, is a crucial new feature of iPhone 14 Pro models. The Dynamic Island changes into numerous shapes and sizes with the use of software for things like incoming phone calls, alarms, notifications, Face ID verification, timers, and more. Beginning later this year, Dynamic Island will also connect with Live Activities in third-party apps.

The Dynamic Island is only visible in screenshots taken on iPhone 14 Pro models when it is being used by applications or when the camera/microphone indicator dots are active, which we have now validated. The image depicts the complete Dynamic Island, including any additional parts, such as a circular timer symbol.

When the Dynamic Island is fully idle, though, it does not visible in screenshots. The screenshot in this situation just shows the wallpaper behind the Dynamic Island, which is the same behavior as on iPhones with a notch.

This technique makes reasonable since the Dynamic Island has information that may be useful for screenshots when it is actively being utilized.

According to Marques Brownlee's review of the iPhone 14 Pro versions, screen recordings on the smartphones exhibit the same behavior.
