According to the reports, the attack happened at 2:20 p.m. between 20th Avenue and 41st Street to the 61-year-old who works out of Station 49 in Astoria.
According to reports, the woman was wearing a civilian top and a pair of military pants when she was attacked.
She was in severe condition when she was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, but sources claim that she was beyond saving.
At 3:06 PM, she was pronounced dead.
A large group of EMTs were visible outside the hospital, some of them were crying and hugging each other.

According to a tweet from his spokeswoman this afternoon, Mayor Eric Adams was his route to the hospital. According to the spokeswoman, Adams has received a briefing on the situation.
