After an afternoon of heavy rain, Montrealers are dealing with overflowing streets, leaking roofs, and flooded basements.
Total rainfall values of 50 to 75 millimetres are forecast by Wednesday morning, according to Environment Canada.
Flooding has delayed service at the Square-Victoria-OACI metro station, causing considerable delays along the Orange Line.
"No trains may stop at this station in both directions; service on the remainder of the line remains normal," the orange Line account tweeted.
The STM tweeted at 7 p.m. that service was gradually restoring on the line.

CLOSURES OF ROADS
Meanwhile, the rain caused traffic closures around the city.
Autoroute 19 northbound from Henri-Bourassa Boulevard was briefly blocked. The roadway is now operational, although only the northbound lane is available.
In addition, a lane on the Metropolitan Expressway near Galeries d'Anjou Boulevard was blocked. The lane is now available again.
Twitter users reported flooded streets, while homeowners in St. Leonard informed CTV News that their cellars were entirely inundated.
So, Montreal has monsoons now. Good moment to take stock of how poorly we manage rainwater. Could replace this coulée d’asphalte on Mont-Royal with trees, rain gardens and bike infrastructure as a start… pic.twitter.com/GnpDm1E2fX

Si ta réponse aux changements climatiques c'est : l'électrification, tu n'es pas sérieux.
