Yesterday (September 28th), Paramore released a new single, "This Is Why." The song is the lead single off their upcoming sixth studio album, which will follow 2017's "After Laughter."
On February 10, 2023, the new LP is scheduled for release. The band has already announced a massive schedule of sold-out US gigs to support the record promotion. Hayley Williams responded, "Oh, it won't be long," when Clara Amfo of BBC Radio 1 questioned her about Paramore's lack of UK tour confirmations.
During the recording of this album, she says, "We spoke about the UK more than we ever had." Every time I would think or visualize doing a gig, it was, you know, some festival in the UK or some crowd that we played for, like in Manchester or whatever, we were "like," really digging out our oldest inspirations that are from over the pond.
"You know, we just have such a nice relationship with our fans all around the world, but there is something really special about the UK and the lineage of bands that are from there," she says in reference to the specific preparations for British gigs. It won't be long, and I can't wait. I can't wait for folks to find out who we're playing with and where we're going since we already have a plan in place. I really can't wait to go back there. You have no idea how thrilled I am.
