David A. Arnold, the producer of 'Fuller House' and a Netflix comedian, died at the age of 54.
David A. Arnold, a comedian and TV producer, died of natural causes on Wednesday, according to his family. He was 54 years old at the time.
The seasoned stand-up comic created Nickelodeon's "That Girl Lay Lay" and worked as a producer on Netflix's "Fuller House," a "Full House" remake. Arnold died at home "of natural causes," his family said in a statement shared with USA TODAY by Arnold's attorney Rob Greenwald.
"We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden death of our husband, father, brother, and friend," his family wrote in a statement. "David died quietly at home today, and physicians ruled that the cause of death was natural. Please keep our family in your prayers and respect our privacy at this difficult time, as we are all surprised and grieved by this loss."

Arnold, who earned a fortune as a performer, actor, producer, and screenwriter, had just finished three gigs on his four-month Pace Ya Self National Comedy Tour.
He has starred on platforms including as Netflix, HBO, and BET, and is one of Hollywood's few black showrunners, having written and produced multiple TV projects, including the 2020 comedy series "Bigger" on BET Plus.
Arnold co-created the Netflix sitcom "That Girl Lay Lay" with executive producer Will Packer, which debuted as one of the top ten most viewed shows.
His first one-hour Netflix special, "Fat Ballerina," debuted in 2020, and his second, "I Am Not For The Weak," debuted in July.
In a statement supplied by Greenwald, his best buddy Chris Spencer stated, "Our close-knit comedy community is mourning the death of one of the finest ever." "He was admired by his colleagues, respected by other veterans, and adored by the aspiring comedians he mentored. He will be much missed, especially among his comic peers."
Arnold's wife Julie, kids Anna Grace and Ashlyn Elizabeth, his mother and sisters, and his extended relatives survive him.
