Checklist for National Voter Registration Day 2022

The election season has begun, and today is National Voter Registration Day!

To begin with, are you registered to vote? Check your voter registration status and explore our voter checklist to ensure you are prepared to vote in the 2022 U.S. Elections, from state house to Senate.

Follow these voter groups for the most up-to-date information on elections and motivating your community to vote: HeadCount, Vote Save America, and Voting Rights Lab.

Checklist for Voters

  • Register to Vote! - Have your say! Register to vote right now. It might take several weeks for your voter registration to be processed, so act immediately. For further information, go to your state's election website or the HeadCount Dates and Deadlines page.
  • Preview Your Ballot - Find out what's on your state's ballot ahead of time. (Note: To use interactive ballot tools, return closer to your state's election date.)
  • Vote by Mail - Can't vote in person? Request a mail-in ballot well in advance of your election dates. Overseas and military voters should go to the Overseas Vote Foundation.
  • Make a Voting Plan - Check in with your buddies to ensure they are also prepared to acquire a cool "I Voted" sticker. Make preparations to carpool to vote early together.
Do you want to get more involved? Due to a lack of poll workers in some areas, polling stations have closed, making voting more difficult. Learn how Power the Polls is recruiting a new generation of poll workers in advance of the 2022 midterm elections. Additionally, visit Vote Save America's monthly Wednesday Community Welcome Call to hone your volunteer organizing skills, as well as HeadCount's volunteer signup for statewide events and concerts.
