The NFL has banned Buffalo Bills backup offensive lineman Bobby Hart for one game for an incident that occurred after the team's 41-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Monday night.

According to a league news release, Hart was fined for breaching the league's unsportsmanlike conduct rules when he attempted a swing at a Titans player and mistakenly struck a Titans assistant coach as the teams exited the field after the game.

Hart joined the Titans in 2021 after being released by the Bills.

In a letter to Hart, Jon Runyan, the NFL's vice-president of football operations, wrote, "As both teams were headed to the runnel, you moved right across the field to seek out your opponent." As you reached him in the end zone, a coach had to hold you back as others shook hands.

"You faced your opponent in the end zone near the tunnel and instantly swung at him with a closed fist, striking the head of a Tennessee coach." Your violent behavior may have resulted in serious injury and does not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship required of a professional."

Hart has the right to challenge the suspension under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. If he does not, he will miss Sunday's game against the Dolphins in Miami, forcing the Bills to bring up someone from the practice squad to fill his spot.

On the practice squad, the Bills feature veteran guard/center Greg Mancz and rookie tackles Alec Anderson and Ryan Van Demark.

Hart, who had a great 2022 training camp to make the Bills' squad, has had limited outings (19 total snaps) in both games this season, lining up as an eligible receiver on various occasions.
