Dane Jackson, a Buffalo Bills cornerback, suffered a neck injury in a collision with a teammate on Monday night and was brought to the hospital for treatment.
Jackson had complete limb mobility, according to the team, and was undergoing a CT scan and an X-ray at Erie County Medical Center.
Jackson was injured against the Tennessee Titans late in the second quarter. Following a 12-yard catch, he tackled receiver Treylon Burks from behind. Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds dived in late and smacked Jackson in the helmet as he lay on Burks' back. Following the incident, Jackson's neck jerked back.
Following the play, Titans running back Hassan Haskins yanked Jackson away from Burks. Jackson rolled onto his back and struck the earth with his right arm.
The game was delayed for over ten minutes as team physicians treated Jackson, who was moving his legs. He was subsequently loaded onto a stretcher and driven from the field in an ambulance.
Jackson is a third-year player who started the season in place of Tre'Davious White, who is still recovering from a left knee injury suffered last year.
