Apple Announces Bad News For Users Of The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro
Apple has published a series of upgrades to address concerns with the recently announced iPhone 14 series. Despite this, the problems appeared to be ongoing, since after correcting prior issues, a new set of faults appeared.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Apple has released iOS 16.0.2 to address issues with several iPhone 14 models.
- There are two main flaws that appear to have been overlooked by the current version.
- Some iPhone 14 customers have expressed dissatisfaction with CarPlay and data transfer concerns.
A few days ago, Apple swiftly released the iOS 16.0.2 update, and the changelog notably noted that it resolved a number of problems with the iPhone 14 that consumers had at the time of debut. Apple stated that this update "provides bug fixes and significant security enhancements for your iPhone."
The latest update, according to the company, resolved issues with the camera vibrating and producing blurry photos when using certain third-party apps on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the display appearing completely black during device setup, copying and pasting between apps potentially causing a permission prompt to appear more frequently than expected, and VoiceOver potentially becoming inoperable following a reboot.

Apple also stated that iOS 16.0.2 fixes a problem where "touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone X, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11 screens after being repaired." While the company's response to these concerns was rapid and effective, it also validated two key flaws that iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro consumers had raised.
One of these is the CarPlay problem, in which iPhone 14 customers reported severely poor phone call and loudness level quality. Complaints regarding this issue are common on social media channels.
"People have complained that the sound is quite low when I contact them using CarPlay. This is the case with the iPhone 14 Pro Max "TheCHAZZchannel, a Twitter user, shared this. "Having issues with the iPhone 14 Pro and Max's carplay while connected and making calls; the person on the other end of the speakerphone notices the volume dropping. this issue or is this an ios16 bug," wrote Chad Reiss, a Twitter user.

"If you commute, the new iPhone 14 has a problem. I just purchased an iPhone 14 Pro, and when I connect it to CarPlay, the person cannot hear me. When I press the speaker button, they claim everything is OK. How do we address this, given that I make a billion phone calls while driving every day? "Dr. Matt Romain, DPT, a Twitter user, reported the news.
