Apple AirPods Pro 2 might be unveiled alongside the iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 during an event on September 7.

The Apple AirPods Pro 2 are expected to be presented during the forthcoming Apple event on September 7, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

The first AirPods Pro headset was released in late 2019, and rumors of a sequel had circulated for months. While the new AirPods Pro 2 were scheduled to be released later this year, it is now rumored that they may be introduced with the iPhone 14 series and Apple Watch Series 8 at Apple's next "Far Out" event.

The newest speculation comes from Bloomberg publication Power On, which is edited by Apple specialist Mark Gurman. While just the iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 were supposed to be announced at the September 7 event, Gurman now believes the firm will also debut the highly awaited Apple AirPods Pro 2.

The original AirPods Pro, which debuted in late 2019, are still a viable alternative for owners of flagship TWS. However, their age may necessitate an upgrade.

In terms of specifications and functionality, there isn't much to say about the AirPods Pro 2 right now. According to rumors, the design will not alter significantly, with the in-ear fit staying unchanged to provide a sufficient noise-isolating seal to allow the active noise cancellation to function.

The charging case is believed to allow MagSafe wireless charging, albeit the case itself may be smaller. Spatial Audio is reportedly expected to return, and Apple may even unveil a new "H2" system-on-chip to power the new AirPods.

Apple may possibly convert to USB Type-C charging for the AirPods Pro 2 in the future.

This change might affect the whole company's product range, including the iPhone 14 series. All of this is likely to be revealed on September 7 during Apple's "Far Out" event at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California.
