Amber alert lifted: child located, suspect still on the run
The Amber Alert issued for a kidnapped toddler from Akron has been discontinued.
Fabian Claudio, 4, was missing Monday after a suspect allegedly shot his mother in the 1100 block of Tulip Street just before 7 p.m.
Police have since stated that the youngster was returned to investigators unhurt, but they are still looking for the child's father, who is a suspect in the crime.

The suspect, Jose Castro, 24, is deemed armed and dangerous after police claim he seized the boy and abducted him after the incident. In connection with the incident, police are looking for a 2016 Silver Kia Soul with the registration plate HLD9706.
The child's photo has not been revealed.
Police said they discovered the lady outside after responding to a complaint about firearms fired in the vicinity. According to authorities, the woman was transferred to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital in severe condition.
