Dane Jackson, a former Pitt Panther, was transported off the field in an ambulance after suffering an injury.

During Monday's home game against the Tennessee Titans, the current Buffalo Bills cornerback was accidently struck by a teammate while making a tackle.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Jackson was put on a backboard and gurney with his neck immobilized.

Jackson, who has full mobility in his extremities, is being sent to a local hospital for "assessment of a neck injury," according to Bills PR. Jackson will also get a CT scan and an X-ray, according to the Bills.

Jackson, a native of Coraopolis, was selected by the Bills in the seventh round of the 2020 draft. For his final three high school years, he played football at Quaker Valley High.

Former Steeler Ryan Shazier expressed his support for Jackson on Twitter. Shazier retired in 2020 after suffering a spinal cord injury on December 4, 2017 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He had spinal stabilization surgery two days later and has subsequently regained his ability to walk.
