Packers vs. Chiefs and 49ers vs. Texans expert predictions for the NFL's preseason (Aug. 25)

The Packers will have a similar plan for Week 3. Jordan Love will start and play a majority of the game. Danny Etling is likely to play the final 1-1.5 quarters. 

The rotation for the Chiefs is still a mystery. Even if Patrick Mahomes played tonight, I would imagine it would only be for 1-2 drives.Chad Henne sat out last week, but he clearly doesn't have the level of performance needed to be successful in the NFL. 

I believe that the quarterback will get about one and a half quarters of action tonight. 

Shane Buechele and Dustin Crom will close out. The chemistry between Packers receivers and extended playing time should give the Packers an edge tonight.I'm expecting the Chiefs to announce that they are resting Patrick Mahomes, which should cause the line to move a bit. I am predicting that the Packers will lose by 1.5 points. Odds: Packers -1.5

Trey Lance will start and will play 2-3 drives. There is a chance Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle will see a lot of playing time tonight as this is a dress rehearsal. 

Nate Sudfeld and Brock Purdy will share playing time the rest of the way. 

The Texans are expected to be in the starting lineup for most of the first half.It's not yet clear if Brandin Cooks will get a lot of playing time, but I expect him to have at least 1-2 drives as the Texans want to get a first team offense a few reps tonight. 

I think both teams will be very aggressive on offense in the first half, but the scoring environment in the game will change in the second half, as the scoring opportunities become much less plentiful.

If the game is 17.5 or higher in the second half, I will be looking to come in on the under. As always,
