- Kevin Federline was chastised by Nicki Minaj after he revealed tapes of Britney Spears disagreeing with her boys.
- Minaj called Federline a "clown" for disparaging his co-parent with the press.
- Speaking with the press, the artist has had her own encounters with exes.
On an episode of her Amp radio program Queen Radio broadcast Tuesday, Nicki Minaj addressed the feud between former spouses Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, blasting Federline for speaking to the public about Spears and her connection with their boys.
"Do you realize what kind of clown you have to be — a complete, grown fucking guy, and as soon as you see someone happy, getting married, moving on, being free, and feeling good in their own skin, to do the one thing you know is going to bring them down? Going to the press? "Federline, according to the rapper,
"Only cowards use the media against a famous person they previously loved, procreated with, are being cared for by, were cared for by," Minaj added on the live video.
Federline, who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007 and was granted full custody of their children in 2008, published — then immediately removed — videos on Instagram August 11 that purported to show the pop singer arguing with their boys Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15.
The previous week, on August 6, Federline spoke to the Daily Mail about the boys' choice to forgo Spears' wedding to Sam Asghari and their refusal to meet their mother.
Spears expressed up about her boys' "harsh" decision to see her less in a lengthy, emotional Instagram post that was also removed on August 10, allegedly in response to Federline's Daily Mail interview and the day before he published the videos seeming to show Spears shouting at their sons.
"I bring it up because my heart cannot comprehend cruelty. It pains my heart because it appears like cruelty is winning these days, even though it's not about winning or losing!!!" the "Womanizer" "In the now-deleted post, singer stated "But I can't get over how I devoted 20 years of my life to those children... Everything revolved around them!!! For them to take my breath away."
