Kraft Heinz is voluntarily recalling 5,760 cases of Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend products.

Capri Sun Wild Cherry drinks have been recalled in 5,760 cases due to suspected contamination.

A cleaning solution intended to sanitize food processing equipment was "inadvertently put into a production line at one of our plants," according to Kraft Heinz. The problem was identified when the company got "many consumer complaints" regarding the flavor of the items.

The business did not say how many pouches were recalled in total. However, each case has four cartons, each with ten pouches, for a total of around 230,000 individual pouches that may be impacted.

Here's how to find out whether your Capri Sun was recalled: On each 6.6-ounce packet, look for a "Best When Used By" date of June 25, 2023. In the meanwhile, Kraft (KHC) stated that it is "actively working" with merchants to remove the "possibly compromised goods from circulation."

Customers who own the merchandise may return it to the retailer. People should not consume them, according to Kraft.

Earlier this week, Home Run Inn Frozen Foods recalled around 13,000 pounds of frozen pizza due to probable metal contamination.

The pizza's meat topping "may be contaminated with extraneous items, especially metal," according to a statement issued by the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service on Sunday.
